There are many activities to try out in the surrounding area including cycling, hiking and golfing. There is a large adventure playground right at the castle, a forest adventure trail for children with tons of fruit to pick, as well as an adult’s vineyard nature trail in the surrounding area. The steep slopes and adjoining vineyards produce the fragrant grapes which make Windeck’s unique wine, and you are very welcome to taste the resulting product in the hotel’s tasting parlour. Windeck lies not far from cultural cities such as Baden-Baden, Karlsruhe and Strasbourg, which make for great day-trip destinations.
